And, our sports memorabilia range is unbelievable, there are too many great sporting moments to mention in our cricket memorabilia, rugby memorabilia and other general sporting memorabilia but our most notable moments are obviously the 1995 Rugby World Cup winning drop goal from Joel Stransky, both Tri-Nations (1998 and 2008) victories, the Springboks World Cup victory in 2007 in France and the wonderful moment of 428 where the South Africa Cricket Team (Proteas) beat the Australian Cricket Team in that unforgettable One-Day International at the Wanderers stadium in Jo’burg, to name a few moments from our large memorabilia selection. Online Shopping Sports Horizons Online is our online shopping experience for most of the major sports products that you’ll find in our sports store in Fourways. We’re continuously updating and adding new sports products to our online store and will even be featuring some special orders items that will only be available from our online shop. In 2010 (just in time for the Soccer World Cup) we’ll have our 2010 World Cup soccer replicas online shopping website up and running, where you’ll be able to buy World Cup products and memorabilia online (this will be a separate website to our regular online sports shop.)

Cricket Coaching Another great feature of our retail sports shop in Fourways is our indoor cricket facility featuring three cricket nets (2 full size cricket nets and 1 half size net fitted with a Juggs Bowling Machine), a speed gun to measure your bowling speed. There's cricket coaching available from any one of our certified cricket coaches 7 days a week. This indoor cricket facility has seen the likes of the “Graeme Pollock Academy” and the “Gary Kirsten Cricket Clinic” (before he was announced as the Indian Cricket Coach.) Please note: If you want to make use of our indoor cricket facility or cricket coaching services note that these nets are usually fully booked so please phone us on 086 111 2668 to check availability. We strongly advise you to book your preferred times in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cricket Bat Repairs, Preparation and Refurbishments We have a cricket bat workshop downstairs where we refurbish and repair cricket bats that are in need of a cricket bat make-over and this is also where we do bat preparation (oiling and knocking-in) to new cricket bats requiring preparation. Young Achievers For those youngsters wishing to get involved in our Young Achievers rewards programme (which rewards young aspiring cricket stars for their performances on the field and their loyalty to Sports Horizons and it’s services) please feel free to fill in an application form at our Young Achievers page by clicking here. We generally have two awards evenings every year where provide food and drinks, hand out sports equipment vouchers to the youngsters and usually have famous cricketers to answer questions for the kids and teach them valuable lessons about cricket.
